Tucked beneath the sloped eaves of our historic Victorian home, The Starseed is a cozy, whimsical retreat designed for the solo traveler seeking inspiration, adventure, and a touch of magic. With a charming twin bed and bohemian décor, this intimate space is perfect for writers, artists, and explorers looking for a quiet, affordable haven while discovering the historic surroundings.

While The Starseed does not have a private bathroom, guests will have access to a shared bathroom located downstairs—a small trade-off for those who embrace the spirit of classic travel and communal charm.

Guests can enjoy morning grab and go style breakfast available, such as muffins, granola bars, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, juice, etc... on our character-filled shared patio.

Located just half a mile from the historic downtown city center, The Starseed is a delightful sanctuary for dreamers, wanderers, and those who find beauty in simplicity. On-site parking is included.

A great place for people to stay who simply need a place to rest their head at night along their travels. The neighborhood and small downtown were beautiful and the continental breakfast was great.

Calm, quiet, and convenient, the Starseed has it all! I was able to use the same-floor bathroom, so there was no issue with going up and down the stairs while half-asleep. Easy in and out, and if you’re a walker, it’s easy to stroll over to the historic district. (Just be aware you’ll be climbing a pretty steep hill on your return!)

Absolutely the coolest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a little spooky at first, but then I slept amazing. The house has so much positive energy with it. Amelia and her husband are awesome and so nice! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here! Especially solo or couple travelers. From what I thought was a solo journey, turned into awesome new friendships, and a memory I hope to never forget! I will be back🥰🥰🥰

The home was beautiful outside--the purple exterior and tasteful landscaping--as well as inside, with beautiful antique furniture in the common areas. The location is pretty close to downtown, and close to the highway as well, so it was easy to get to/from. The room itself was quaint with high ceilings, tall, curtained windows, and a daybed equipped with plenty of pillows. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was well-stocked with helpful amenities: hairdryer, breakfast tray, towels & hand soap, and multiple light sources.I had a couple of issues with things not matching the description, but aside from those hangups, I was very pleased with my stay and the level of communication with Amelia. Would recommend to others.

The StarSeed is everything Amelia & Erin advertise it to be; a beautiful place for a budget solo adventurer! It is a very charming residence. Very cozy and relaxing. The innkeeper, Lacey, really made the experience so wonderful. She not only keeps the inn so clean, she also sets up your coffee in the morning, and has lots of great tips on things to do in town. Absolutely made this stay a 10/10. I will rebook again and again! Thank you ❤️
