Tucked beneath the sloped eaves of our historic Victorian home, The Starseed is a cozy, whimsical retreat designed for the solo traveler seeking inspiration, adventure, and a touch of magic. With a charming twin bed and bohemian décor, this intimate space is perfect for writers, artists, and explorers looking for a quiet, affordable haven while discovering the historic surroundings.

While The Starseed does not have a private bathroom, guests will have access to a shared bathroom located downstairs—a small trade-off for those who embrace the spirit of classic travel and communal charm.

Guests are welcome to start their mornings on our character-filled shared patio, where self-serve coffee and breakfast items await. On weekends, a hot homemade breakfast can be ordered, lovingly prepared by the innkeepers (for an additional fee—menu provided on our website).

Located just half a mile from the historic downtown city center, The Starseed is a delightful sanctuary for dreamers, wanderers, and those who find beauty in simplicity. On-site parking is included.

Guest access

Guests will have access to their private room upstairs and the full dining patio/lounge.

During your stay

We do not live on-site, but our innkeepers, Heather and Christian do. If you need anything at all, you can look for them or give us a call and we can be to you within a matter of minutes. We are committed to making sure you have a wonderful stay and will never be "bothered" by your reaching out. Please reach out to us if you need anything at all! We are here to help!

Other things to note

Please note that Hot Breakfast is available on weekends and most week days. Please request breakfast by 9pm the night before. There is a small cost per plate which can be found on our menu (see photo). If you request breakfast, please be in the dining patio at 9am. ***The Starseed room is a great option to add to your stay to accommodate an extra guest or space***

This B&B was so beautiful. The house really is incredible and the neighborhood was quiet and lovely. Great location. Heather, the Inn Keeper, was fantastic. She was so helpful with everything I needed and her breakfasts were so delicious! She made my stay perfect.

Grateful the photos of the adorable Victorian home were accurate. The place had historic charm and modern conveniences. Heather was so kind and prepared a delicious breakfast which started my birthday off perfectly. This trip was just what I needed and the enjoyable stay in the Starseed room was part of it.
I’ll keep it in mind next time I find myself in that part of the country or recommend to those I know headed that way.

Great location- walk to dowbtown, grocery store, restaurants, a lot. Designated parking spot. Clean and unique. I stayed a month and tho the house is old and it was winter - every room had an electric/propane heater. The house felt safe and the host kept the house well lit for guest to come and go. I had kitchen access. I was comfortable I. The solo room with detached bathroom for a month. Towels provided and washer dryer was available to me. I would stay here again! I was able to have mail delivered and WiFi was strong. Fridge for food. Extra blankets. Host was available anytime I reached out and checked on me throughout my stay :) thank you
